Winter rains bring Spring flowers! In this Spring seasonal stroll, we observe our beautiful and diverse native wildflowers and pollinators. We practice sketching basic flower anatomy using real world, and pressed flower examples. We will also practice identifying our native bees and butterflies, discussing how we can help these important species in our own backyards and cities
Santa Carina Trail is located off of San Elijo Lagoon close to Solana Beach. This space is inland of the lagoon consisting of riparian and coastal scrub habitat and connects to a larger trail system. We will stroll on about a mile loop, there is minimal shade but two distinct rest and sketch stops along the way.
Location: Santa Carina Trail, Solana Beach, CA 92075
Difficulty: Easy 1 mile loop
